Language arts:
1. Finish the Close Reading Worksheet on Problem/solution text structure
2. Finish the Close Reading Worksheet on how the Graphic features add to your understanding of the text: focus on the TYPE of information given and how that gives you a better idea about Whitney's life, personality, era, accomplishments.
3. Same signatures as yesterday...I didn't collect them yet. (R. Con. due 2/11 & Homework 1/30 & Vocabulary Test and 10 times each.
Math:

Science:
We finished chapter 3, lesson 4 today. Quiz on the circulatory system = Tomorrow.
Test on Chapter 3 = Tuesday, 2/11
History:
We read Chapter 9, lesson 2. NO HOMEWORK, but you need to go back and take notes...there will be questions on the test about the vocabulary words and key rebellions.
Test on Chapter 9 = Tuesday, 2/18
Other:
Valentine's Day is fast approaching. Students are allowed, but definitely not expected or required, to bring in Valentine's cards or goodies as long as they bring in the SAME item/type of item for EVERY student. We have 36 students and 2 aides in the classroom. (Mr. Loomis and Mr. Castillo). Thank you for ensuring that every student feels the "love" of a fun "Pal"-entine message.
