Language Arts:
1. Get both graded papers about text structure signed: the writing and the ripped out pages.
2. Be a quality human being.

Math:

This is only 14 problems total. These will help the students with the test.
Students have a fraction division math test on Tuesday.


Science:
Worksheets on Day/Night & Seasons due on Tuesday
Chapter 6 test on Tuesday. All students were told to bring home their science books and worksheets to study.

Other:
Packing lists and information about camp was sent home TODAY. Ask your kiddo for it. :)
I still need one chaperone for the April 16th field trip.....hope you'll come.

Other:
Camp: Be sure your child practices packing/unpacking, rolling up bedding/sleeping bag as they will have to pack themselves up on Friday when we return.
The top 4 items to make camp a wonderful experience:
1. sun hat,
2.chapstick,
3. sunscreen,
4. refillable plastic/metal waterbottle (no glass)
Also, be sure your child's name is on EVERYTHING-including any bags/luggage.
You can use masking tape if you don't want to permanently mark the bags.

Vocabulary p. 153, spelling p. 157, story test on "Lewis and Clark" = Friday. I highly recommend rereading the story each night this week to prepare for story test.

That's a total of 4 different adult signatures.

Math:

2. notes from the Friday before spring break on division of fractions.
3. one page from the math book with a  Y (yet-the students have grasped the concepts) or a NY (concepts not yet grasped)

 Please stop by Pizza Rev on Wilson anytime between 11am-10pm  and mention you are with Keppel.  5th grade committee will receive 20% of the proceeds. 

Thursday, March 29th in the evening is also Toll Middle School's Open House.  It starts at 6pm;  5th grade parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Language Arts:
1. Today there was no language arts: panorama and portraits were taken in the morning.
2. READ!!!
3. Study for spellcabulary test tomorrow.

Math:
Students took the Unit 7 test today. We'll start division of fractions tomorrow. :)

Science:
Students measured and sketched their bean plants today.
Compete the Stars and Galaxies worksheet by tomorrow.
Chapter 6, lessons 1 & 2 quiz will be on the Wednesday after spring break.
Chapter 6 test will be on April 3rd-the day before we leave for camp.

Other:
A. Please sign history homework, behavior cards, and return Thursday folders by tomorrow.

B. Spring Break next week-no school. School resumes for students on Tuesday, March 27.

C. Camp is April 4-6th.  Regular school will be held for all students not attending camp.

Students took the chapter 11 test today. They will not be coming home until Pimenta/Hewitt classes have taken the test. Students are welcome to see me for their grade.

1. Turn in any other payments or forms immediately for camp. Forms are being mailed to the camp tomorrow.
2. We are in desperate need of tissue and hand sanitizer...it's flu season! Any donations would be gladly welcomed. :)

Girls wear hair in a low bun.

Parents are cordially invited tomorrow at Hoover Auditorium. The performance begins at 1pm. Please feel free to sit in the upper balconies to record. :)

                        We are under a week for
the Spirit Day performance.  Here are a
few
                        reminders regarding the
dress rehearsal / show.

            Dress Rehearsal:          Monday – March 5th

*Ladies
need to bring their skirts

Please be in the
auditorium 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time onstage

If there is
another class in rehearsal onstage, please respect their time and be quiet as
you enter

Students walk over
in street shoes / please bring jazz or tap shoes in a bag WITH their name on it

Performance:               Wednesday – March 7th

Please ask a few
parents to volunteer to help dress and prepare the students

Makeup is
optional: If worn it should be a light blush and red or bright lipstick / No
browns or nudes

Students should be
walked to Hoover and in their seats at the latest by 12:15 PM
Performance begins
at 12:45 PM

Please have your
students walk over in their street shoes and change into their dance shoes at
Hoover
Students should
bring their shoes in a bag with their name on it

After the show,
students are to place their provided costume pieces in the bag that has their
name on it.
 
We will deliver collection bins
to your classrooms on the day of the show. 
All costume bags should be placed in the bin / no costumes are to be
taken home.

Tap shoes are
to be placed in a separate bin.
