Dear 5th grade parent:

The 5th grade committee has been working very hard all year fundraising and planning all of the great upcoming activities.  We hope everyone enjoyed the 5th grade t-shirts and we know that the campers had a great experience at Pali Institute. Through our fundraising efforts the Committee is very excited to provide 5th graders with all of the following activities at no charge.

Important 5th grade events:

  • June 5th - Colonial Day at Riley’s Farm
    • A full day educational field trip sponsored by the committee. Parents are welcome to attend, but they need to provide their own transportation and pay the entrance fee.  A light lunch is provided.

  • June 7th - Promotion! 1pm at Hoover Auditorium
    • There will be a professional photographer taking 2-3 pictures of each child as they cross the stage.  A link will be provided after the ceremony for you to download the pictures free of charge.

  • June 10th - Play Day
    • There will be a large obstacle course, a large inflatable twister game, a photo booth, Habit Food truck and Kona Ice truck, as well as other treats, games, and crafts.  It will be a blast and we need lots of parent volunteers!

  • June 11th - Last day of school.  On to middle school!

  • Tiles with Mrs. Zierhut - a final art project for the kids to leave something personal at Keppel!  Volunteers are needed to assist with making the tiles and also hanging them up at the school.

  • Teacher, staff and class gifts - we are happy to be able to give gifts to all the 5th grade teachers, the entire Keppel administrative and custodial staff, as well as a class gift for our graduates to be remembered.

To make all of these events as successful and fun as possible, WE NEED YOUR HELP.  We need you to volunteer your time - please go the link below and sign up. We cannot do these activities without parent support!

It has been a great year!  Thank you to all those that have volunteered their time and resources.
