History:
We read about the Easter Native American tribes.  The tribes had a grand council which were appointed by the Clan Mothers. This led into a comparison with our own government, a grand discussion about our American government with its three branches.  This morphed into a discussion about our laws, then into the legal system...jails, bail, insane asylums, murder charges, false murder charges. I assured them that they need to continue to make good choices and that they don't need to worry about being falsely accused of committing crimes.

Science:
Boy oh boy did we have a discussion....staying healthy by not eating too much sugar, refusing cigarettes/drugs/alcohol. We also discussed how drugs and alcohol are bad for the working of the mind and hard on their organs.  They had many stories to tell...I expect dinner conversations to be lively tonight.
