Other:
Field trip on Thursday, 12/5/19 to the Huntington Library. Pack a lunch. We will be returning after the cafeteria is closed.

School resumes after the Thanksgiving Break on Monday, 12/2/19.

Language Arts:
Don't forget to study ALL of the vocabulary needed for tomorrow's test (including colonel)
2. Finish the paraphrasing of the illustration from the Corn stalk article (short read 1)

Math:
None, students took the Topic 6 test today.

Science:
Chapter 1: lessons 1 & 2 quizzes are tomorrow.

Other:
The Behavior Card, the Thursday Folder, and the Report Card Envelope need to be returned tomorrow.

I still need field trip forms from R.A.; A.K.;J.A.; AH;SM;AN; NP;KP;SP; and ES.  If these forms are not returned, these students will be left behind in another classroom on this day.

Tomorrow is a minimum day; dismissal = 12:30pm

Language Arts:
Study your vocabulary words: don't forget the extra words: colonel, men, children, mice, shelves and the rule "if the word ends with "s, x, z, ch, or sh", then add "es" for the plural

Finish vocabulary day 1 worksheet for homework: be sure to use ALL the words.

Math:
Study for the test tomorrow on Topic 6: division of decimals. You can always sign into the clever account from your student Google account and use the Khan academy website for extra support.

Remember to study the shortcuts we used today in class.

Science:
We covered chapter 1, lesson 1 today in class. Tomorrow will be lesson 2. Friday will be the lesson 1 & 2 quizzes.

Other:
Please turn in all field trip forms ASAP. Thank you to the families who have already done so.

Study vocabulary words: add these words to the list: children, mice, men, shelves and
the rule: when creating a plural, if the word ends in "sh", or "ch" or "x" or "z", then add "es"
For example box turns into boxes, lunch turns into lunches, flush turns into flushes.


Math:
finish p. 339: 18-22
341: 1-4; 13-16
342: 17-19; 23-25.

SHOW YOUR WORK OTHERWISE YOU STAY IN AT RECESS TO REDO THESE PROBLEMS.
TEST ON TOPIC 6 = THIS THURSDAY


History:

Read and annotate pages 25, 26, 27 with interesting facts and QUESTIONS ABOUT CONTENT/VOCABULARY.
Get parent signatures on vocabulary test. (Also, do your ten times each on the incorrect answers.)
Get a parent signature on 5 facts from both sources assignments (check, check plus, check minus grade)
Get a parent signature on the small book questions.
Remember two groups have short stories due next Monday (Tail for a Tail small book groups)

Math:
Get your "Does McDonalds Sell CheeseBurgers, Duh" notes signed by a parent after you explain them.

History:
History test is being moved to Tuesday, Nov. 19 (next Tuesday)

Other:
No school Friday.
Tomorrow is a banking day.

Students had 35 minute in class to work on these problems.

Math test on whole number division = NEXT THURSDAY, 11/7/19

History:
NO new homework, but chapter 5 test = Thursday. All students were instructed to bring home their history books to study.

Other:
TURN IN YOUR CAMP INTEREST FORMS AND CAMP DONATIONS ASAP!  I have only received 10 forms back!!! We need to know if we have enough students participating to be able to confirm our dates.
Dine out night at Chipotle =next Wednesday, Yummo on the burritos! 132 N. Glendale Blvd. 4-8pm

Time change = this weekend...fall back one hour on Sunday. So, what used to be 8 am will now be7am...aaaahhhh, an extra hour of sleep for all of us. :)
