Next Thursday-not tomorrow is our field trip to the Griffith Observatory.  I need two other parent helpers. Please email me if you are interested in attending AND willing to ride a school bus. Yikes!! :)

Complete RCC page 241 #4 ONLY!
READ, many students vocabularies are not growing fast enough. They are lacking the breadth that reading daily develops.

Math:
We took a quiz on modeling decimal multiplication today.
Get the quiz from before break signed by tomorrow.
Study for topic 4 test on Friday=study the red section at the back of the topic.

Science:
We read Chapter 3, lesson two aloud today.

History:
Chapter 5 test = TOMORROW.

Other:
Please return the field trip form ASAP...tomorrow for table points. :) We'll be going to the Griffith Observatory. The donation is being collected for the bus.

If you got 2's on your report card, do some iREADY lessons to get caught up.

Math:
Study your notes. Math quiz on Monday when we return on modeling the decimal multiplication.
Test on Topic 4 on the Friday when we return-look at the red pages in the book to study for this test.

Science:
I gave students the circulatory and respiratory system worksheets-these are OPTIONAL over the break. Students who wish to, may complete them. :)

History:
Chapter 5 test = Tuesday, November 27th.
All students were instructed to take home their large history books and their notes to study.

Other:

2. Analyze your data to see if your hypothesis was proven or not. Write a conclusion (explain whether or not your hypothesis was proven & WHY you think that was true.)

History:
Chapter 5 test in the Big Mamoo on the Tuesday AFTER Thanksgiving break. Study.

Report cards were sent home today. Please sign the envelope and return it in the Thursday folder.

1. Watch TV show. Then analyze the emotional range of the actors. Did they stay at the same level over the course of the entire show?  Did they change emotions? Were they overacting? Did they "leave room" for a greater emotional response when a larger/more significant event took place?

Explain your multiplying decimal notes to your adults-get a signature.

Dear 5th Grade Parents,

Keppel Rocks is just around the corner.  We are given the opportunity to raise funds for 5th grade activities.  5th grade is in charge of concessions with this year's event.  We will receive 20% of all earnings from Keppel Rocks.  Please consider helping us on Friday, November 3rd.  We have time slots for set up, sales and clean up.  We appreciate anything that you can offer.  Every opportunity to raise funds will help decrease our costs for this year's fun activities.  Your support is greatly needed.
