Language Arts:
Students had 1.5 hours in class to work on the following which is due by tomorrow:

Green and Purple groups: small books: page 24 -ALL, RAC on top Qs, RACE on bottom Q connected to chart

Red and Orange groups: small books: p. 33, # 2 only, answers should be 2-3 paragraphs minimum

Blue group: p. 28 Do Focus on Comprehension section (RACE) and Hyperbole-you can just quote the answer

Yellow group: small books: last page Questions 2 & 3 RACE

Remember these books are available online at clever, then benchmark, then assignments

Study vocabulary for Friday

Math:
We started division with fractions today.
p. 529-all
p. 530- 22-24, 26
p. 531- All
p. 532-15-18, 20

Science:
We studied chapter 4, lesson 3 today.
Quizzes on lessons 2 & 3 tomorrow

Other;

Students who still don't have dance shoes were sent home with information and dance shoe forms today. Please make sure students are situated with shoes by Friday.

Performance for Spirit Day is Friday, March 6 @ 10 am at the Hoover auditorium. We hope to see you there.

Language arts:
1. Get your spellcabulary words written out (that you missed) and SIGNED BY AN ADULT
2. Get 2/19 H.W. signed by an adult
3. Get Unit 5, Week 1 test signed by an adult
4. Get R. Con. signed by an adult
5. Study homophone words (aka heterograph words....!!!????!!!)

Math:
NONE, students took part two of the test today.
We start fractional division tomorrow.

Science:
Students finished Chapter 4, lesson 2 today. The test will be next week on Wednesday.

History:
Colonial slides are due this Friday, 2/28

Other:
Dance performance is on 3/6. Students need dance shoes please email me for helpful tips in getting them. Mrs. Neel stressed the importance for the safety of the students that they have the proper shoes.

Challenge:
The winner of our participation rate challenge is Coach Dreyfuss' class with 74% of the team with pledges already! Great Job! This weekend we have a double challenge: The class with the most Out-of-State Pledges will get to do the Ice Bucket Challenge with APEX (dump ice water on the team!)

AND the student with the best Apex pledge video (submitted to mkspublicity@gmail.com by Monday morning) will get to choose a prize off the Apex cart! Anyone who submits a video will also earn a special treat from the Apex Team!
