Do questions 1-5 for Edison. Study test for Friday
Revise paragraphs. Make sure each paragraph compares/contrasts the works' language.
Math:
Complete the 15 improper to mixed number problems and get your notes signed after you explain how to do the problems to a parent.
Remember you are supposed to have complete 36 iREADY math lessons by this week so far this year. Expect to make them up at school, if you have fallen behind.
Science:
Chapter 4 test = Friday
Other:
Kindness week. Tomorrow is Dress like a superhero day. Be your own SuperHero! Wear superhero attire & use your words to inspire someone.

1. Finish 3 paragraphs about the LANGUAGE USED in your three different sources about ONE theme. Do NOT compare and contrast the themes. ALL three sources need to be about ONE theme. Your job is to compare and contrast the language the authors use to teach about that theme.
2. Parent signature on tests, writings, and 10xeach for missed spelling/vocabulary words (six different tests/assignments!)
3. Read "Inventing the Future"

Language Arts:
1. 2 worksheets on spelling and raise/rise vs. lay/lie
On page 77, the directions got cut off in copying! They should read: Complete the sentence using the correct present form tense of the verb in parentheses ().
Example Donna (carry) water and soap over to the car. carries
2. Study story, spelling, and vocabulary words for Lesson 22, "The Power of W.O.W."
Math:
Explain your equivalent fraction notes from today to an adult at home and get a signature.
Other:
Dance tomorrow, bring your dance shoes.

Happy New Year! We will be having a 5th grade meeting tonight: Wednesday, January 10th, from 6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. We will meet in room 1106 (Mr. Shelton's class). We will be updating you on the budget and fundraisers. A camp representative for Wolf Adventures will give a mini presentation about the science camp. The meeting will be recorded for parents that cannot attend.
