Language Arts: The odyssey towards inference mastery continued as we journeyed to ancient Egypt today.
Study your lively spelling words...wink, wink.

Math:
1. Finish page 80, numbers 18 and 19.  Page 103-104 all.
2. Test = Friday, use pages 105-108 to study. We reviewed setting up subtraction problems and bar models and regrouping.
3. Get get parent signatures on 2 quizzes.

Science:
We began collecting data about the length and direction of a tether ball pole.

History:
History presentations began today.
Chapter 3 test = Friday- Study!


Other:
Tomorrow is McTeacher's night at the McDonald's on Central. All transactions between 5-8pm will yield a 20% profit for our fifth grade committee.

Complete RCC pages 43 and 45. You do NOT have to do the graphic organizer. You do need to RACE...restate, answer in own words, cite text, explain how your citation proves your answer.
Get Growth Mindset and Mindfulness signed by an adult.

Math:
Complete pages 87-88.
Test on Friday on adding and subtracting decimals.

Science:
None

History:
Project due tomorrow and Chapter 3 test = Friday

Wednesday = McTeachers' night at McDonald's. Fun!  From 5pm-8pm our fifth grade committee gets 20% of the profits.

Coats for Kids, please donate any gently used coats for the annual Rotary Club of Glendale's Coats for Kids drive.

Our PTA fundraiser is still going strong.  :) Thanks for participating.

Next Wednesday at 8:30am is a camp meeting in the cafeteria and Wednesday evening is the McDonald's fundraiser.

1. The fabulous PTA fundraiser is going strong.
2. We are collecting gently used coats for kids through Oct. 19. Each coat is worth 100 points for your table.
3. McTeacher's night = October 11.
4. Fifth grade camp meeting = Wednesday, Oct. 11 8:15am Keppel Cafeteria. see Thursday folder for details.

5.  Message from our fabulous MKS:
We have an upcoming event this Friday, October 6th. The MKS Spirit Wear Pop-Up Shop will be in front of the school, selling Spirit Wear from 12:15pm - 2:30pm. All Spirit Wear adheres to the Keppel Uniform Policy and more importantly, looks pretty snazzy on your kids.  We will be accepting payments via cash, check or credit card.

**We are also looking for some parent volunteers to help sell the merchandise.  If you have any time at all to lend a helping hand, please click on the link below to fill out a volunteer form. Any time you can spare to help us out would be greatly appreciated!**

Language Arts:
Read RCC pages 74-76

Math:
Get 3 adult signatures. One quiz and two math tests.
Do pages 69/70

Science:
Complete the three math worksheets by Thursday.
Science test chapter 1 = Friday

History:
Bring to school on Thursday whatever parts of your history project that you want help with or want to work on.

Other:
Remember the school colors for uniforms are blue, khaki, and white. BLACK is not a school uniform color.  Please make sure your child is in uniform everyday.

All families need to fill out the lunch application this year. If you do not want to supply your information, just check the box that indicates that you are not interested in participating. The school goal is 100% participation. Our class is only at 40% participation.

Tomorrow is Walktober... walk the last few blocks or walk the whole way. Students who have a sticker will receive 100 table points.

Langauge Arts:
1. Read RCC book (Ready Common Core) page 66, 68, 70
2. Finish part one of the Korean language assignment.
3. Get an adult signature on FIVE assignments: Spellcabulary, Women on $10, Selfie/Museum, Paw Prints, and Early American Theater assignment.
4. Write words and their definitions ten times for each missed word for spellcabulary.

-Students were given an hour of work time in class to work on these assignments.

Math:
We continued working on our math tests.
Students who finished worked on tenmarks.com lessons.


Science:
We finished chapter 1, lesson 3.
Test on chapter 1 = Friday.

Other:
Login to google classroom. You need to login everyday.
