Language Arts:
Get your essays and question from "Lewis and Clark" signed.

Math:
Complete 4 worksheets.
11.1/11.2, another 11.1/11.2, 10.2/9.2, 13.1/13.2

History:
Chapter 13 test = Wednesday.
Class representatives prepare for Loyalist vs. Patriot debate

Other:
Colonial day = this Thursday, bring a sack lunch and dress in costume...please let me know by tomorrow if you need the cafeteria to make you a sack lunch for Colonial Day.

* Next Friday. May 26th at 1:15 is our choral concert, please come to Mrs. Atchitelli's room (1217) at 1:15pm to hear Mrs. Cannon's homeroom students sing like angels.

*Memorial Day = Monday, May 29th...school holiday

*Promotion = Tuesday, May 30th 8:30am at Hoover. Students report to school as usual. :)

There are exactly 9 more days of school...one of them is Colonial Day and another is Promotion/Play Day.  Put forth your best effort for the few remaining days. Be kind: if you don't have anything nice to say, THINK HARDER!

Language Arts:
1. Print your essay: title page on top, then essay, then notes on the bottom.
    Be sure that font is dark, sized 14-16, and essay is double-spaced.

2. Read "Lewis and Clark"
3. Write a question down that you have about the story or about a new vocabulary word.
4. Get reading test signed by an adult at home. "Any Small Goodness" Test

Math:
Complete two math worksheets: just do the best that you can NO PRESSURE! :)

Science: None

History:
Chapter 13 test = next Wednesday...study.

*Tonight is our last DINE OUT  at Baskin Robbins!!!! Yay!!! Two scoops, please! :)

Be editing your essays for:
-Capitalization
-Punctuation
-Spelling
-Grammar

Be sure to double space your essay.

Essays are due on Friday.  Title page on top, then essay, notes on bottom.

Math:
Complete one worksheet
Get three parent signatures on quizzes.

History:
We read Lessons 3 & 4 today - be sure to get vocabulary notes done...wink, wink-these terms are on the test.

Math:
complete three worksheets: 8-1 (one sided) 8-2, 8-3/8-4

Science:
We worked on planets worksheet in class and measured our bean plants

History:
We covered Chapter 13, lesson 2. We discussed the Constitutional Convention, Virginia and New Jersey Plans which led to the Great Compromise and the 3/5 Compromise.

1. Read "Any Small Goodness"' twice-test this week on this story.
2. Insert a title page for your essay.

Math:
Complete three math boxes worksheets. I know that Annie, Anais, Atom, and Alec D. only got 2, Sienna only got 1.

Science:Complete worksheet pages 79/80 on Phases of the Moon.

History:
We read Chapter 13, Lesson 1 today.
Complete worksheet pages 23/24 by tomorrow-this was assigned last week.


Other:
Please return all Colonial Day forms as soon as possible. Please let me know if your child will not be attending this field trip.

LA: Write three different introductions for your essay at the beginning of your essay. You'll work with your classmates on Monday to pick the best one for your essay.  You may use a question, share an experience in your life, dictionary definition, quote, or use humor to kick off your introduction. Here's a sample of using the dictionary definition:

Webster’s defines liberty as the “state or experience of being free.” Dr. King, Ms. Angelou, and our Founding Fathers all used different types of language to express this “quality or experience of being free.”
