Get 3 parent signatures on quizzes: volume, metric conversions, multiplying fractions.

ELA:
Complete RCC pages 326-327.
New Reading logs were issued today.
Get parent signatures on Spellcabulary, Sir Kay Writing, and on OLD reading logs.

Science:
Study your science quizzes/worksheets
Get parent signatures on 2 quizzes.

History:
Worksheet due tomorrow: pages 16/19-each side will be graded separately.
Be working on your history fact sheets, posters, and floats.

Other:
Keep up with your iREADY assignments and independent reading.

History:  Complete worksheet assigned by Tuesday, p. 16/19

State testing practice website: Google CAASPP Practice test or click here.   Click on Student Interface.  Then sign in as a guest.  After that, choose the grade level and test that you want to practice on. There are a few more screens that you need to accept/click through. Choose the practice test and I strongly recommend that you check out the Performance Task options to see what students are asked to do.

Math: 

Students took quizzes today and have 1 SUPER easy worksheet due Monday.

Prepare for Unit 4 test next week.

ELA:

Students took Spellcabulary test and we did a Reader's Theater a Native American Myth about how oceans were created.

Reading Logs are due on Monday.

History:

Worksheets for pages 7/9 & 10/12 are due tomorrow.

Continue working on your fact sheets. Posters were distributed today, some students elected to keep them at school due to the rain at dismissal.

Science:
Today we had an anti-smoking and drug presentation by a current Toll/ex-Keppel student, McKenna Tribble.

Other:
Keep up with those iREADY lessons...only 6 more weeks of lessons required.
Remember, our testing for Science CST begins on April 20, ELA on April 24, and Math on April 30.

Math:
1. Complete the three math lessons begun in class on tenmarks.com with a due date of today!
2. Unit 4 math test = next week, Thursday.

ELA:
1. Ready common Core page 175. Do not complete the learning target. Do complete the inference on a separate piece of paper.

Science:
Continue to study worksheets/quizzes for upcoming CST test- April 20-21.

History:
1. We took a test on Chapter 11 today.

2. Complete History Worksheets. Pages 5/6 and 7/9 are due on Friday. Each side is getting a separate grade. Please do your best and neatest work.

3. Continue working on your state fact sheets.

4. I will extend the Poster Due dates as I had so much trouble finding white paper for them. The new due date will be Friday, April 29.  The good news is I finally have them. They will be passed out tomorrow afternoon.

Other:
Many students had to come in to lunch recess today in order to complete iREADY lessons this means that they were at least two weeks behind on lessons. Please email me if you want a specific update on your child's iREADY status. I am happy to let you know how many have been completed and how many more are necessary to get caught up.

State Testing begins on April 20 and continues on many days until May 2.  Please DO NOT plan any medical/dental visits during the morning. Please do provide a healthy breakfast, a full night's sleep, and plenty of encouragement. :)

Math:
Complete Unit 4 pages 55-57.  And....yes, you must construct the cubes!  Get 2 parent signatures, HW conversions and Geometry quiz.  (All of this was assigned yesterday, no new assignments today.)


ELA:
1. Vocabulary Map due tomorrow on "When Prairie Became Ocean" words from Reading Book; test will be on Thursday.

2. Finish the inference writing on "Gareth and Lynette" page 169.

3. Get parent signature and do 10 times each words and definitions for words missed from last week's test.

4. Get p. sig. on Sandstorm Writing

5. Continue working on Reading Log, it's due on Monday.


Science:
Don't forget you can review the 4th grade concepts online through the Keppel Common Core Practice website or you can Google Road to 900 to find these resources.

History:
Chapter 11 test tomorrow.  Study

Complete Unit 4 pages 55-57, get parent signatures on Conversions worksheet and Geometry quiz. Due Wednesday.

LA: All are due WEDNESDAY:
1. Get parent signature and write each missed word with its definition 10 times each for Spellcabulary test.
2. Compete Gareth and Lynette Inferencing Response in Common Core book
3. Complete Vocabulary Map for new words with "Prairie Becomes Ocean" words.
4.  Fill out Reading Log, be sure to get a parent signature.
5.  Get parent signature on Sandstorm writing

Science:
Study for CST

History: Study for chapter 11 test on this Wednesday.
2. Complete 2 worksheets for history. pages 5/6 and 8/11
3. New worksheets are due on Friday. pages 7/9  (Boston Tea Party/Lexington & Concord) and 10/12 (Battle of Lexington/Bunker Hill)

Other:
BRING A LUNCH FOR FIELD TRIP TOMORROW, EAT A LARGE BREAKFAST!  WE'LL EAT AT KEPPEL, BUT RATHER LATE AT 12:15PM

 We took a geometry quiz and need to finish Unit 4 pages 50-51.

 Remember major Unit 4 test is coming...study!

ELA:
  We took a spellcabulary test and did a reader's theater with "The Secret Ingredient".

Reading log is due next Monday

Science:
We took science quizzes and need to complete one page of CST practice by Monday.

History:
We finished chapter 11. Test = next Wednesday

2 worksheets for history are due next Tuesday

Other:
  All students must keep up with daily independent reading, weekly iREADY lessons, and regular typing practice.

Remember next Tuesday is our field trip to the Glendale City College Planetarium-BRING a LUNCH to be eaten at school upon our return.
