We worked on converting between different units within a given measurement system.  Please make sure problems 8 & 9 on page 191 and problems 15 & 16 on page 193 are completed. :)  Quizzes on Friday will be on line plots and on measurement conversion.

Language Arts:
Students wrote opening paragraphs on their opinion/argumentative writing pieces. The two functions of an opening paragraph are to: 1. Grab the reader's attention 2. Let the reader know what the essay is basically about. There should be sentences for both of these functions.

Additionally, students were instructed to go back and add details to their other paragraphs.

Science:
We spent the last hour of the day reviewing Chapter 5 for the test tomorrow.

Apex Fun Run is Friday. This fundraiser is our wonderful  MKS's (Make Keppel Special) last big fundraiser of the year. The last opportunity to sign up is tomorrow night at midnight.

Ignite Dance: Performance = Friday, Rehearsal = Thursday.  Alex Theater, 6:45pm call time.

Please support your child's last few months of school by encouraging them to READ for entertainment instead of watching TV or playing video games during the school week. Reading allows their imaginations to grow and provides a quiet break from noisy and hectic school days.
