3. Remember you have your Student Reference Book (SRB), study link books (answers are in there) and khanacademy.org for more support.
Language Arts:
1. We finished two paragraphs about the intelligent and industrious Ben Franklin.
2. Homework: READ for 40 minutes.

1. Chapter 7, Lesson 4: MIXTURES, read it again folks!

Math:
We worked on the steps for attacking word problems today. This is day three of this process. Your child should share the steps for attacking word problems:
1. Read problem twice
2. Underline/highlight key numbers/units
3. Box the question
4. Draw ______ box _________ = __________ box
5. Think: Determine operation (add/subtact/multiply/divide) by looking at key words in boxed ques.
6. Fill in numbers, units, & operation
7. Draw a picture that makes sense to model the problem.
8. Solve
9. Check solution/answer
10. Does your solution make sense?
LA:
Find the key details that PROVE the main ideas about Ben Franklin.
Science:
Read Ch. 7, Lesson 1-this can be your reading for tonight.
SCIENCE test on chapter 7 next Wednesday.
